Welcome to Thee Clean Standard. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and the services we provide. By visiting our website, booking an appointment, or receiving services from Thee Clean Standard LLC (“Thee Clean Standard,” “TCS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or book our services.
1. About Our Services
Thee Clean Standard LLC is a men’s body hair removal studio located in Petersburg, Virginia, providing professional waxing, sugaring, and trimming services. All services are cosmetic and grooming in nature. They are not medical treatments, and nothing we provide should be understood as medical advice or care.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to book or receive services from Thee Clean Standard. By booking, you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into these Terms. We may request valid photo identification to confirm your age, and we reserve the right to decline service if age cannot be verified.
3. Booking Appointments
Appointments are scheduled through our online booking system. When you book, you agree to provide accurate and complete information. Submitting a booking request does not guarantee an appointment until you receive confirmation. We reserve the right to decline or reschedule any booking at our discretion.
4. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and No-Shows
We hold time exclusively for you, so please give us as much notice as possible if your plans change.
- Notice window. To cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 12 hours before your appointment.
- Late cancellations and no-shows. If you repeatedly cancel with short notice, fail to show, or arrive too late to complete your service, we reserve the right to require prepayment for future appointments, limit your access to priority booking, or decline future bookings.
- Late arrivals. If you arrive late, your service may be shortened to fit the remaining time, or rescheduled, at our discretion. The full service price may still apply.
5. Pricing and Payment
- Service prices are listed through our booking system and are subject to change at any time without notice.
- Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed in advance.
- Payments are processed through Stripe and our booking provider. By paying, you agree to their applicable terms.
- You are responsible for any fees your bank or card issuer charges.
6. Packages, Memberships, and Gift Cards
If we offer prepaid packages, memberships, or gift cards, the specific terms, including expiration, transferability, and whether they are refundable, will be provided at the time of purchase and are incorporated into these Terms. Unless stated otherwise, prepaid services and gift cards are non-refundable and non-transferable.
7. Health, Safety, and Client Responsibilities
Your safety is our priority, and accurate information from you is essential to providing services safely.
- Disclosure. You agree to inform us of any skin conditions, allergies, sensitivities, recent treatments, medications, or medical conditions that may affect your service. This includes, without limitation, use of retinoids or isotretinoin (such as Accutane), recent chemical peels or laser treatments, recent sun exposure or sunburn, and any condition affecting the skin in the treatment area.
- Contraindications. Certain conditions and medications make hair removal unsafe. We may decline or modify a service based on the information you provide or what we observe, and we may recommend you consult a medical professional first.
- Patch testing. A patch test may be available or recommended for first-time clients or sensitive skin. You may request one.
- Accuracy. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide. We are not responsible for adverse reactions resulting from information you failed to disclose.
- Aftercare. Results and skin reactions vary by individual. Following the aftercare guidance we provide is your responsibility.
8. Professional Conduct
Thee Clean Standard provides professional, non-sexual cosmetic services in a respectful environment. We have a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate, suggestive, harassing, or sexual behavior of any kind.
Any such conduct will result in immediate termination of the appointment without refund, a permanent bar from future services, and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service to anyone, at any time, for conduct we consider inappropriate, unsafe, abusive, or disrespectful to our staff or other clients.
9. Results and No Guarantee
Hair removal results vary from person to person based on hair type, skin type, hormones, and other individual factors. We do not guarantee specific results, and outcomes such as duration of smoothness, reduction in regrowth, or absence of ingrown hairs cannot be promised.
10. Assumption of Risk
Waxing, sugaring, and related services carry inherent risks, including but not limited to redness, irritation, sensitivity, ingrown hairs, temporary skin lifting, and, in rare cases, more significant reactions. By receiving services, you acknowledge and accept these inherent risks.
11. Website Use
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use it in any way that could damage or disrupt our services. All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, the Thee Clean Standard name, and our branding, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use it without our written permission.

Our website and booking process rely on third-party services, including our booking provider and payment processor, and may link to third-party websites such as our social media pages. We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their content, services, or practices. Your use of them is subject to their own terms and policies.
